The MFCs
...............

My dear Earthling,
Having stumbled upon too many words that are being increasingly misinterpreted by your community, I thought it useful to summarise these in one acronym. Well, it saves time, energy and above all, it goes well with your existing obsession with acronyms (eventhough you may not be knowing the expansions to those in many cases). So, it gives me great pleasure to introduce this new genre as misinterpreted-for-convenience (MFC), an accidental similarity to another acronym representing a different class altogether (some striking similarities in essence may not be ruled out). Well, the MFCs that I mention here includes some of the most controversial (primarily due to its misinterpretation) words in the recent times. Religion, Friendship, Love, Secularism, Nationalism, Terrorism, Democracy are some of those in this genre and the list is growing...I believe, there is an imminent need for education and awareness among your community in this regard to clear up the mess that some selfish earthlings are generating lately......I attribute these MFCs to be a major factor in creating the present confusion in the world......So, ignorance isn't a bliss, not at least for the majority.

The Class Divide
------------------------

My dear Earthling,
I am repeatedly made aware by a section of you that thinking and writing what you have in mind is usually the activity of an un-employed as he finds enough time for it . Hmm..well, many of you are pretty much busy these days with the increasing burden of responsibilities at work....Then the obvious inference from this observation is that an earthling may be incapable to work and think simultaneously...or may be they simply don't want to..While this could be due to the overwhelming care or attachment (read as dependence) to machines, our newly-found friends, I may not get into that here...But, what is interesting is the fact that work has overtaken the ability to think for many of you...But, wait a minute...Isn't human a thinking animal?...That is exactly what distinguishes you from an animal...so then why do we see this contradiction?? It is probably that you still think but then you prioritise on what to "think"? You keep yourself busy with the things of day-to-day life, which I believe is myopic in nature...Human beings, a majority, until now have failed to understand the significance of seeing the larger picture that might reduce many of their worries and sorrows...They have largely assigned things to different sections of the society..so while a large section of them fall in the genre of working class, a minority or as they see "the un-employed" find time to think of issues that may be of little relevance to the other sections, atleast in the immediate future...But then, who are at loss? Probably the humanity....What we are seeing is the division of the world into two broader sections. A "working class" and a "thinking class". The mutually exclusive nature of these classes are on an increase and this might spell doom to the future generations...There exist a danger of the thinking class controlling or ruling the working class with the latters' own achievements. With technology getting increasingly integrated with the human society, the impact is going to be enormous in terms of benefits as well as potential dangers. It is the knowledge gap that would act as a primary "weapon of mass destruction". There is a subtle difference in the idea of knowledge I mention here. While the technological advancements would be known to the working class as a majority of them may be involved in that deeply, it is only the thinking class who would understand the far reaching consequences of such developments to the human society at large...These are consequences that would fundamentally change the way you would work, act, live, see and take breath...And, all these changes would happen without your cognizance....

The Mid-Summer Revelry
----------------------------------

My dear Earthling,
The people are happy and why not? The summer represents emancipation from a seemingly never ending period of nights and darkness...Welcome to Finland, the land of saunas, lakes, white nights and mid-night sun. I have never ever seen such a dramatic change in the behaviour and emotions of people with the change of seasons..Atleast not due to summer if some of you from Asia would recall...Well, I might say not 100% true, just as I recall how a certain section of you, namely the student community, would reflect such an emotion. But then their parents have reasons to worry about...So, what Finland portrays is exceptional and amazing simply by the amount and extent of participation. Almost the entire country and its cities get into the mood of holidaying and rushing to their summer cottages typically located at the lakes...The notion of an entire city getting deserted due to this is absolutely foreign to me....
